Angela Paul, MSW, LSW, LAC is supervised by Catherine Ocasio, LCSW, LAC, MAC 

Angela (she/her) is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and a Licensed Social Worker. She is also pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Work credential with the State of Colorado. Angela Is a graduate of the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. 

Angela's journey began with the personal impact of addiction, propelling her into the field to assist others. Starting with hands-on experience in entry-level positions such as detox, inpatient treatment center, and psychiatric hospital, she discovered her calling to support individuals with addiction. This realization prompted her to pursue a Master's degree in Social Work, where she deepened her understanding and skills. 

During her graduate studies, Angela broadened her social work experience through internships in palliative care, hospice, and bereavement support at the VA medical center. Despite exploring various areas of social work, her passion for mental health and substance use persisted, guiding her back to where she feels most compelled to make a difference.  Angela's dedication to social work and social justice is fueled by her profound empathy and commitment to supporting individuals affected by addiction. Armed with a deep understanding of addiction's complexities, she offers personalized support and connection to those navigating recovery. 

Recognizing the importance of tailored care, Angela advocates for a comprehensive approach to treatment, remaining abreast of advancements such as medication-assisted treatment, harm reduction strategies, and moderation management. Committed to ensuring her clients receive compassionate care tailored to their unique needs, Angela is driven by her unwavering dedication to making a meaningful difference and walking alongside her clients during their wellness journey.  

Beyond her professional endeavors, Angela's life is enriched by her Christian faith. She finds joy in the beauty of Colorado and the surrounding states, embracing her passion for outdoor activities. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Angela enjoys hiking, Jeep adventures, skiing, snowboarding, and fishing.  She nurtures her creative side through clay artistry and finds joy in immersing herself in a good book. Above all, she cherishes spending time with her family, including her four furry companions, and revels in the simple pleasures of life on the lake or river.
