About Your Therapist

Clinical Social Worker & Addiction Counselor

Hi, I’m Angela (she/her) and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor with a Master’s degree from the University of Denver. My journey into addiction and mental health has been deeply personal, and it continues to fuel my passion for walking alongside others in their healing.

During my graduate studies, I was honored to be selected as a Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Fellow—a highly competitive program where a small cohort of social workers and advanced practice nurses received specialized education in the unique mental health needs of older adults, including dementia care, end-of-life support, and the challenges that aging individuals and their families often face. This work reinforced my belief that every season of life deserves dignity, support, and understanding.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in detox programs, inpatient treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, group practices, and at the VA hospital supporting Veterans living with chronic illness and navigating palliative and hospice care. These experiences shaped my heart and my practice, and they’ve taught me the importance of providing compassionate, person-centered care across every stage of life. As a Veteran myself, my work at the VA holds a very personal meaning for me, and it deepened my commitment to serving others with empathy and respect.

My passion for supporting people through vulnerable moments also extends to my work in addiction recovery. I know how heavy it can feel to struggle with alcohol, substances, or other behaviors that no longer serve you. My role is to help you navigate those challenges with compassion and without judgment. Whether your path involves moderation or abstinence, I’ll walk alongside you as we discover together what feels right for you. I’m also a coach in the Sinclair Method (TSM), an evidence-based approach to alcohol use that empowers individuals to regain control of their lives.

Beyond addiction recovery, I am especially passionate about women’s wellness. I work with women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I also offer support for those moving through perimenopause and menopause, which can feel overwhelming at times. If you’re experiencing mood swings, brain fog, or shifts in your sense of identity, please know you don’t have to go through it alone—I’m here to listen and help you find balance, strength, and hope.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll most likely find me outdoors—hiking the local trails, skiing or snowboarding, rockhounding, or heading out on a Jeep adventure. I enjoy creating pottery, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with my husband and our adult daughters. Our four lively dogs bring plenty of energy, love, and joy into our lives.

At the heart of everything I do is my faith in Christ. My life is rooted in that foundation, and it shapes the way I show up in the therapy space—with compassion, humility, and deep respect for your unique story. No matter where you are in your journey, my hope is to provide a safe, supportive space where healing and growth feel possible.

My commitment to you...

"As a clinical social worker and your therapist, my commitment is to walk alongside you with empathy, respect, and genuine care. I believe therapy should be a safe, non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself. I’m here to support you in discovering your inner strength, helping you work through challenges, and empowering you to make the changes you want in your life.

I strive to offer interventions that are not only effective but also tailored to your individual needs and goals. Your journey is unique and my role is to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope for the future."
